Galore Day One

- so, dude, you know how you love film.
- yeah...
- and you now how you've always wanted to make a feature fiction film.
- yeah--
- but you've made all those shorts and they never quite filled the gap..
- no, but they were great and i loved doing them but--
- i know, i know... and you know how you've spent all those years recently making docos because of how much you love documentary but you've kept yearning to do something that has that mix of realism and naturalism with the lyricism and mystery and strangeness of all those weird-ass films you love...
- yeah, i guess...
- well. it's on.
- whad'you mean?
- day one, bruz.
- day one?
- day one.
- of the film?
- yeah, of the film.
- but what about all that pre production? we had six weeks, right?
- yeah, well you spent it all talking and planning and poring over photos and rehearsing and getting all angsty and shit. all done now, bruz. all used up.
- six weeks is already gone?
- gone, dude. all gone. it's on.
- now?
- hell yes. you just shot the first scene in that sublime dusk this evening and you've got your first day of shooting tomorrow... half a dozen scenes in one day, kid.
- fuck.
- you said it.
- day one?
- reckon.
- fuck.
- don't sweat it. you've got no time to sweat it. just enjoy it. do your thing. play your natural game...
- easy for you to say.
- nah, seriously. take it easy. you might never do this again.
- yeah, great. cheery thought.
- day one. stop talking. it's on.
- you reckon?
- yep. i reckon. get into it.
- now?
- yep.
- um. ok.
- ok, then. good luck, kid.
- thanks, man. i appreciate it.
